- Keep the header row as the first row.
- Use File → Download → Comma-separated values (.csv) for backups.
- Avoid merging cells—merged cells break imports later.
Run your kennel with less chaos
Breeders Companion brings litters, puppies, buyers, and paperwork into one place.
When you’re ready, bring your waitlist into Breeders Companion instead of maintaining two systemsFrequently asked questions
- What format is the download?
- You get a CSV file that opens in Excel, Numbers, or Google Sheets. Use “Import” or “Open with” from your spreadsheet app.
- What do the columns mean?
- Each column is labeled on the template page. They cover contact details, preferences, how they heard about you, deposit status, and flexible notes.
- Will the app import this file later?
- Structured columns are chosen so a future import flow can map them to CRM fields. For now, use the CSV as your system of record or bridge file.
